WHAT IS MASSAGE THERAPY?

Massage therapy is the manipulation of the body's soft tissues, applied using different techniques including tissue release, muscle energy techniques, assisted stretching, trigger point therapy and myofascial release.

THE TYPES OF MASSAGE WE OFFER

Sports massage involves the manipulation of soft tissue to benefit a person engaged in regular physical activity, whether that is through exercise or various day to day physical demands. Sports massage, prior to and after exercise, may enhance performance, aid recovery and prevent injury. Used to target tight or problematic areas.

Deep tissue massage involves applying sustained pressure using slow, deep strokes to target the inner layers of your muscles and connective tissues. This is a full body treatment.

Your treatment is carried out by one of our highly qualified physiotherapists and therefore can support you with assessing your condition or injury, diagnosing it, if you would like to as well as providing massage treatment. Every treatment is always tailored to each client, whether it's a problematic area you would like treating, injury prevention or relaxation, your massage therapist will always check in with your needs at the beginning of your appointment.

Please note - Our massage therapy appointments are carried out by one of our highly qualified physiotherapists, this appointment includes an assessment and/or diagnosis for an injury or condition. Therefore the booking will be for a physiotherapy appointment, but please specify in the booking that it is for a sports / deep tissue massage.
